Money raised from the Nine Telethon will help the Children’s Hospital Foundation support sick kids by funding patient and family support programs, life-saving medical research, and cutting-edge medical equipment. Since the first Nine Telethon in 2014, more than $80 million has been raised to support sick and injured kids across Queensland and northern New South Wales.
The Nine Telethon is the only live televised fundraising event in Queensland. Now in its 8th year, the Nine Telethon will be broadcast on Saturday 30 October, and will be jam-packed with entertainment, feature lots of celebrities, and some extraordinary kids. The Nine Telethon is one of Queensland’s best “feel-good” nights of television.
There are a lot of kids and families going through tough times, and they’re so heartened to know that the community is right behind them. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will lessen the hurt and help sick kids heal and get home sooner. By making a donation, you will help the Children’s Hospital Foundation support, care, and entertain our sickest kids and their families while they’re in the hospital and also be part of something big – funding world-class research to find better treatments and ultimately cures for our most devastating childhood diseases.
